Joan Hamblen Monninger, Member, relocated to Farmington from the Indianapolis area during the Covid pandemic. She is the proud mom of two amazing sons. She brings several decades of experience in cultural tourism, historical interpretation, and nonprofit work to San Juan County as executive director of the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village. Joan is a graduate of Butler and Indiana Universities. She is also a freelance writer/editor, having been published in national magazines and literary journals. She joined the SJCHS board in 2023 and loves being a part of San Juan County history and Four Corners tourism!
